As part of the roll-out of the MAMA-LIGHT® solar lamp in the UEMOA region AbzeSolar S.A. launched the lamp 12th July 1013 in Ouagadougou within the Philips Cape to Cairo Roadshow.The panel
After opening and an introduction by H.R.H. Princess Abze DJIGMA, CEO of AbzeSolar S.A., Mr Sjouke de VRIES, General Manager International Sales Philips Consumer Luminaires gave an overview of the newest developments in Light and how Philips is driving and making use of these developments to help and to support the people in Africa.
Mr Patrice NIKIEMA, Président Conseil Régional du Centre, highlighted the problematic energy situation in the UEMOA, and welcomed the MAMA-LIGHT® lamp in Burkina. He sees the as a significant step forward for the people of the rural areas. It not only provides light but it also will generate jobs for distribution and opportunities small businesses.
In the speech of the Commissioner of Development, Energy, Telecommunications and Tourism of the UEMOA, Mr Guy AMEDEE AJANOHOUN, H.R.H. Princess Abze Djigma got the compliments and he thanked her for her initiative that will contribute to the quality of life and to the empowerment of the West African people
On behalf of the Minister of Mines and Energy of Burkina Fas, Mr Salif Lamoussa KABORE, his technical advisor, Mr Ouattara MOUSSA closed the meeting by reading the speech of the minister. He praised H.R.H.
