Why solar energy?
Today less then 25% of the West African people have access to electricity. Wood still is the main source of energy in West Africa. This means that many people especially in the rural areas are completely dependent on daylight and on traditional ways of working. To develop the area and to improve the life circumstances of the local people energy is indispensable.
Given the size of the countries and the huge investments needed to build an electricity network, this is not a realistic short term scenario. AbzeSolar considers solar energy for this region as the best and fastest scenario to grow the West-Africa region and to improve the standard of living of the local people.
The sun in West Africa is an inexhaustible source of energy. Fast developing technologies and huge investments in developing solar energy products have opened up this source of energy for individuals and small businesses. The great advantage is that there is no need for large infrastructural investments and that every person (or company) can develop at its own speed and need.
In the solar energy world many products are available, but many of those products are not suitable for the West African region where intensity of the sun is very high, where temperature is significant higher then in other regions and where no fall back with on-grid systems are available.
AbzeSolar provides high quality products tested and suitable for this region. AbzeSolar provides the education and training to implement and maintain these products to guarantee the buyer of their products an optimum use and life of the products/solutions.
